Even though we've made PULPchat compatible with more browsers and operating systems
without having to download anything, you may still experience problems logging in. It
is impossible for any software manufacturer to test every possible environment,
considering the different possible combinations of computers, operating system versions,
browser versions, and third party software running on the same computer. Use the following
guide to help you resolve any problems you have logging in to PULPchat.
| 1 | The PULPchat server may be busy, or there may be a problem with your
internet connection. If you have no trouble visiting other sites, then the PULPchat server
may be under a significantly heavy load. The FREE PULPchat servers are always under a
heavy load! If you frequently cannot log in to your favorite PULPchat, contact the
website associated with it and ask them to upgrade to one of our affordable paid accounts. |
| 2 | If you get a message that says, "This
screen name has been reserved..." try a different screen name. If you keep
getting this message after trying several random screen names, then the
administrator of that PULPchat may have changed the settings. Sometimes
a website may allow the public to use their chat room at first but may require
users to register once the room becomes popular. Check the website that is associated
with the PULPchat you are trying to enter to see if they now require users to register. |
| 3 | Have you installed or updated any software on your computer
lately? Firewall protection software as well as other programs can disable certain
features of your browser.
There are usually settings that will allow your browser to function properly again. Try
reading the documentation that came with your new software. Next, try contacting the
software manufacturer. If you still find that a particular piece of software does
not allow PULPchat to load, please
email support@pulpchat.com. |
| 4 | Have you updated your operating system recently? Many times,
Windows Updates contain bugs or will change the security settings of your browser
without notifying you. This will prevent many dynamic websites from functioning
properly. If you know that PULPchat was working properly before you installed Windows
Updates and now PULPchat will not load, try a different browser, like Mozilla Firefox. If you still cannot get
PULPchat to load and you are
sure it was working properly before you installed Windows Updates, please
email support@pulpchat.com and include what
version of Windows you are using and what versions of different browsers you have tried. |
