Our mission is to provide the best instant messaging and chat room
services, specifically tailored for each customer's web site, while maintaining
the highest level of customer service.
PULPchat.com is owned by Design215 Inc., an interactive
design studio specializing in web design and photography for digital media.
We take imagination and turn it into functionality. We work with top web
designers and provide them with images and tools to make their efforts successful.
We are the link between programmers and artists. We think simplicity is beautiful.
This applies to images, interfaces, and code. We are designers and inventors.
Design215 is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Many cultures intersect in South
Florida and it gives us a broad field of view when producing images or designing a
web interface. No matter where you are located, we can design your site, provide
images for it, or help your designer add features to your existing site.

PULPchat was developed entirely from scratch by Design215 founder, Robert Giordano.
Robert is an artist who also does some php scripting and mig welding for fun. His
photography has been displayed in galleries across the United States and can be
seen at his personal website,
gallery215.com.
In 1998, local companies began to rely on Robert's photography and design
skills to enhance existing websites or create new ones. In 2001, Robert took websites a
step further and began creating web applications. He worked as an independent
contractor for several companies, developing applications like the matrixPlayer.
They say necessity is the mother of invention. This was definately true in the
case of PULPchat. Being an artist, Robert Giordano wanted a chat room he could
completely customize. He didn't want a plain gray or white box where everyones's
messages would appear. He wanted complete control over the interface, from the
background to the buttons, and even the scrollbars. No Java apps existed that
provided that kind of flexibility. Robert set out to do it himself with HTML, Javascript,
and server side scripting. By the summer of 2002, it had developed into an application
that so many people wanted, PULPchat became a full time business.
As of December 2004, PULPchat has become a part of more than 100 web sites, based all
around the globe. From a school in Croatia, to a community site in South Africa, to
a internet radio station in Switzerland, to a newspaper in Japan, PULPchat adds an
important communication tool to these and many other sites.
Although a very small slice of bandwidth when compared to instant messaging giants like
Yahoo and AOL, Each of our dedicated PULPchat servers delivers an average of 60,000 messages
per day. No other HTML chat can claim these figures.
