If private messages are enabled in the PULPchat you are using, simply type the
@ character, then the other person's screen name,
then a space and your message. As a shortcut, you can click on the person's screen
name at the beginning of any message and the @screenname
will be typed for you.
Example:
@tom324 Hey Tom, what's your phone number?
Only tom324 will see the above message. In Tom's window,
the message will have the word "Private" at the beginning so he knows its a
private message from you. On your screen, the message will have "to tom324" at the beginning
so you can keep track of the private messages you send.
